A global competition in robotics and automation

The ABB RoboCup 2025 is an international industrial robotics competition that brings together students from across the globe to solve real-world challenges in automation and ABB robot programming.

It is a unique opportunity to work on practical industrial scenarios and showcase the skills of future professionals in technical education and robotics.

An edition with global participation

This year’s edition saw technical schools and institutes from countries such as China, Spain, and France, making our achievement even more significant.

From February to April, our team worked intensely on the technical project, with practical development and simulations conducted in our training spaces.

Mario Buffoli Award for Best Technical Project

Our students’ project received the prestigious Mario Buffoli Award for Best Technical Project, in recognition of the innovation, technical accuracy, and industrial applicability of the solution developed.

Reaching the top on the final day

On May 21st, during the final stage of the competition, our team successfully tackled a series of challenges including technical quizzes, real-time ABB robot programming, and project presentations.
We proudly reached first place overall, demonstrating the quality of the technical training delivered by Ideativa and the technological capabilities available in the IdeAlab lab.

Acknowledging our partners and supporters

This achievement was possible thanks to the contribution of a strong support network.
We would like to thank:

  • IdeAlab and Ideativa, for training and technical mentoring
  • ABB, for organizing such an outstanding international event
  • Fondazione Dalmine and Kilometro Rosso Bergamo, for their ongoing support and inspiration

Technical training, robotics, and innovation: one challenge won, many more ahead

We are proud of the journey and excited for the future.
Ideativa will continue investing in robotics education, ABB technologies, and industrial automation, helping new talents grow and contribute to the skills needed by tomorrow’s industry.
